What is PowerSchool? |
PowerSchool is a browser-based student information system. Parents and students can use the parent portal of PowerSchool to view grades, attendance, comments, and teacher email addresses for their students.

Access to student grades and attendance records is granted to individual students and their custodial parents / guardians. Account information is available from your school's main office.

Please do not contact Central Administration or the District Technology Office for parent / student accounts. We will not give these accounts out over the phone or email, as we cannot verify your identity. Please contact your school's office to be properly verified and receive your student's account. |

Your student's PowerSchool account should be kept confidential and secure. Contact your school's main office immediately if you suspect it has been compromised. |
Questions regarding PowerSchool access, availability, and content should be directed to the main office of the school your child is attending.
PowerSchool is available anytime day or night. However, there may be brief periods where access is unavailable due to routine system maintenance. Such times usually occur either in the late afternoon (4pm-6pm) or on weekends. Your patience is appreciated during these times.
Requirements for viewing PowerSchool
To access PowerSchool, you need a web browser that can accept SSL secure connections. All major browsers (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera) should be able to access PowerSchool. Some mobile devices (PDAs, mobile phones) may also be able to securely access PowerSchool.
Note that computers may have installed pop-up blockers, spyware, "search assistants," or other software that intercepts or changes websites and their information. These kinds of software may affect your interaction with PowerSchool.
What about security?
Your connection to PowerSchool is made over HTTPS, a secure traffic protocol. Information sent over HTTPS is encrypted. Our identity is verified by Thawte, a third-party security provider that is automatically trusted by all major web browsers.
You can confirm the status of our encryption certificate from your browser's address bar, by checking the status of the security certificate we present.

SECURITY TIP: If you are using a public computer to access PowerSchool, make sure you close all browser windows after you have clicked the Logoff button. This ensures that someone else can't view previously-viewed pages after you've left. |
How often is this information updated?
Attendance information is updated daily by the school's main office.
Updates to grades and assignments are dependent on the school's policy and on individual teachers.
At the bottom of each grade sheet, you will see a "Grades Last Updated on..." line. This is when the teacher last updated a score in this gradebook.
